Renting a property in London is so easy at Prime Property. Here is a step-by-step guide to each stage of renting a property.

The Lettings Process

Step 1 Register your interest
The first step is to register with us either by calling us on 0207 352 5833 or you can visit one of our offices where you can discuss your property requirements with one of our consultants.

You can even register online if you are short of time.

Step 2 The search begins
With a clear understanding of your requirements you will receive a selection of properties that match your criteria. In order to secure a property, we recommend an early viewing.

Step 3 Accompanied viewings
We're open at times to suit you, convenient for viewing after work and at weekends:
Our offices are open 9am-7pm Monday to Friday and 9am-3pm Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. Our longer opening hours are essential - over 60% of viewings are carried out after work and at weekends.

Step 4 Selecting a property
Once you've identified a suitable property and supplied us with details of referees, references will be applied for and your information will be forwarded to the landlord for acceptance.

Step 5 Rental paperwork
- Tenancy agreement: Once the landlord confirms that they would like to proceed we will draw up the relevant paperwork, forming an agreement to be signed by both parties.

- Inventory: An inventory of the contents and condition of the property is usually produced prior to commencement of the tenancy. This will be supplied to both landlord and tenant.

Step 6 Rent and deposit
An advance rental payment is required prior to the commencement of the tenancy. A rental deposit is also required from the tenant. This will be reimbursed to you at the end of the tenancy, subject to the details of your agreement and the findings of the inventory check-out report. As per recent legislation, where relevant, your deposit will be protected by a third party as part of the TDPS (Tenancy Deposit Protection Scheme).

Step 7 Completion

Congratulations, keys are now handed over and you can move in to your new home!
